Introducing Saneyuki Owada, an Account Planner from the Account Solutions Department who manages end-to-end production tasks, from devising communication strategies to their implementation, all aimed towards solving client challenges.
Could you introduce yourself.
I’m Saneyuki Owada, and I work as an Account Planner here at K&L. I manage all aspects of production, from solving client challenges by proposing solutions to budget and schedule management. Currently, my focus is primarily on projects with Nikon, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining K&L, I worked at a foreign creative production company and in marketing roles for social media platforms.
What prompted you to become an Account Planner at K&L?
Coming from an art school background, I had a strong interest in creative work. While I was on the distributing end in my last role, I wanted to be further involved in creative work , and that led me to this Account Planner position. I chose K&L primarily because of their approach. In many companies, sales roles are often seen as mere coordinators, but at K&L, sales and creative roles collaborate together, exchanging ideas during planning and production. I felt I could leverage my knowledge and experience here and take on new challenges.
What’s been your most memorable project at K&L up till now?
That would be a TikTok promotion project for an overseas confectionery manufacturer. To further expand awareness of their brand in Japan, we offered full-fledged support for their digital promotion. We suggested the best platform, handpicked creators, and reviewed content. The client was quite anxious as it was a promotion that crossed borders, but we were able to deliver tangible results.
What do you like most about your job?
It's very fun and exciting being able to meet different people from around the world, including top creators and emerging artists. I think being able to explore new perspectives through work is unique to this job. It’s also very rewarding being able to come up with solutions tailored to clients while being involved in upstream processes such as branding and marketing, and not just ad production.
What are some of K&L's strengths?
I'd say it's our devoted attitude toward our clients. Understanding clients deeply and addressing challenges from their perspective leads to solution proposals that yield long-term effects. I believe that our ability to sustain providing solutions for global clients for decades is a direct result of this client-focused approach.
