Nikon Z fc inspired by the popular past FM2 model. Launch campaign with KOLs targeting the young audience.
For the Z fc’s launch in the Chinese market, a DX-format mirrorless camera that combines the design of Nikon's historic FM2 camera with the latest technology, we were in charge of planning and production of sample images and promotional movies, as well as digital PR using famous KOLs.
Challenge
How to portray the appeal of the Z fc from the target audience’s perspective?
The fast-changing trends in the Chinese market make it particularly difficult to grasp target insights into the young generation. How can we present the refreshingly classical Z fc mirrorless camera to the target without product-oriented communication.
Approach
Capturing the natural movements of two popular KOLs
We hired two KOLs who are very popular among the young generation. We communicated closely with them and produced creative contents that capture them beautifully as they become themselves using the camera. We focused on stories and visual expressions that the target audience can relate to themselves.
